How to play MathDoku
Fill the 4x4 grid with the numbers 1, 2, 3, and 4 so that:
- Every row contains each of 1, 2, 3, 4 exactly once.
- Every column contains each of 1, 2, 3, 4 exactly once.
- The numbers within each cage combine via the cage's operation to equal the target shown in the top-left of the cage.
Operations
12+ cage: the cells in this cage sum to 12.3- cage: the larger cell minus the smaller cell equals 3. Order does not matter and there are no negative numbers.24x cage: the cells multiply to 24.2/ cage: the larger cell divided by the smaller cell equals 2. Order does not matter.- A single-cell cage just shows the value to place.
Mistakes
When you complete a cage, the math is checked. If it is wrong, the cage flashes red and you lose one of three mistakes. Duplicates in a row or column are highlighted but do not cost a mistake.
A cage is complete only when every cell inside it has a value - empty cells never trigger a mistake.
Three mistakes ends the round.
